A fan who was lucky enough to encounter Tomlinson in New York City shared her experience on Twitter. She requested a drawing of a hedgehog for a tattoo, and got this instead.

Now, hedgehogs are arguably one of the easiest animals to draw. They are, after all, just tiny faces and a bunch of lines. But he opted to write this adorable message instead.

She clarifies that Tomlinson does not, in fact, believe the word home looks like a hedgehog. He was just too nervous to do justice to the majestic creature with his quill. He doesn't know what makes his hedgehog drawings beautiful, and that's what makes them beautiful.

She was lucky enough to see him perform on Fallon the next night, and even got more tattoo possibilities.

But the question remains -- does Louis know what hedgehogs look like?
